Ray Ramseyer Endowed Internship in Development

Internship Dates: 9 consecutive weeks (flexible start/end dates to be discussed with the intern).
Hours per week: 35-40
The selected intern will choose between nine full weeks in the Alumni, Individual and Planned Philanthropy Area (AIPP) or three weeks in three distinct areas for a total of nine weeks within ACP (one of those areas must be AIPP). Intern will develop their individual plan for success in coordination with their supervisors and must be approved by the Vice President of ACP. A defined duty of the internship will be to travel with Berea College representatives from ACP on two trips to visit alumni and friends of the College. A major goal for these visits will be to express gratitude for philanthropic support and to share their own experience as a Berea Patron. Expenses for these trips will be provided. For other costs, interns seeking academic credit will be eligible to request funding through the Berea College Internship Program for this internship.
Requirements:
The intern must be considering a career in the non-profit field and be a participant in the Berea Patrons program. This position will also require two business weeks of travel, possibly including air travel.
Class levels considered: Rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors
About Alumni, Communications and Philanthropy:
The Alumni, Communications and Philanthropy division is responsible for providing administrative oversight for securing endowment and annual fund support for the College, creating and disseminating information about the College, and leading efforts to expand the circle of alumni and friends who are concerned with the welfare of the College.
